Manager, Business Development |

The Manager, Business Development is responsible for managing the business development process for the Company by implementing the appropriate strategies, systems and procedures. The incumbent provides management support, leadership and guidance to the sales and customer service teams while establishing and meeting company sales targets. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for: - Revenue acquisition for the Company.
- Developing the strategy and approach to market.
- Managing, building, training and developing the sales teams.
- Processing definitions for partner acquisition.
- Structuring and refining the sales model.
- Developing the Agent strategy and managing the process.
- Monitoring and understanding regulatory issues and how they impact the business and Company.
- Managing Tier I thru III partner relationships.
- Analyzing the sales methodologies and effectiveness.
- Documenting and process creation and management.
- Any other duties as assigned.
Human Resource Management Responsible for the management of the Sales team that may include Account Manager (s), Sales Representatives, and Agents. This includes assisting with recruitment, training, disciplining and performance evaluation. Information Resources
- Internet news sites.
- Specific Voice-over-IP sites.
- Printed newsletters.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS Education - Minimum: Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing or Business is preferred. Other relevant post secondary education is an asset.
Previous Experience - 8 – 10 years of regional sales management experience in telecommunications / wireless /wireline technology;
- Acute demonstrated business acumen;
- Sales and marketing strategic planning experience;
- Business analysis and business case assessment skills;
- Ability to manage large quotas, and
- Market assessment skills.
Key Competencies - Computer literacy: Windows (MS Office), Macintosh; proficient in all;
- Crisis management: Very adept at crisis management and pressure situations and able to see through the issue to resolution;
